I just went to my yammy dealer and asked for some BR9ES's. He told me they were no longer the plug of choice and said they only sell BR9EYA's. Is this the plug the rest of you are now currently using?? Only diff. seems to be a split groove on the tip.
thanks

The br9es plugs work fine. Dont listen to anybody that tells you anything about "plug of choice".

BTW I use br9ecs on my srx.

correct, BR9EYA's are same plug as BR9ES's with a grooved tip... I probably got same story from same dealer.... Haven't had a problem with them...Ran for two seasons now...

TJ...

The BR9EYA is HIS plug of choice because he can get a little more profit off of them. They're a great plug and still sold at reputable powersports and auto parts stores, and mail order catalogs everywhere.

Used BR9Es's for 2 years now too, bought last set at advanced auto parts or was it autozone, well either way they were like $2.16 Ea. :D

I don't know how he would get any more profit on the deal...everywhere I've looked the EYA and ES plugs are within pennies of one another as far as price goes. For the record, I run EYAs in my sled also.

I just switched to br9ecs on my viper as well. They will keep a little more heat out of the head and help with detonation (so i was told).
