My new Viper skis have some tiny 4 inch carbides. I am looking at getting 6 or 8 inch carbides or shaper bars. Trying to save some money and go with middle of the road. Who has the best deal on them and what brand should i get and what brand should i stay away from?

I am waiting on a set from DMANN. He was selling a set of 6" carbides for $40.00 shipped. I hope to have them before next weekends ride. If they are good I will order an additional set.

If you want shaper bars, then stud boy is the only manufacturer that I know of that makes them.
Dennis kirk will beat anyones deal, and they ship quickly.

I think Dennis Kirk only price matches on products over $100.horkn said:If you want shaper bars, then stud boy is the only manufacturer that I know of that makes them.

xtremesledparts.com has some pretty good prices and fast shipping too.

There is a seller on ebay, smartrecparts. I bought a set from him that was an overstock and got a NIP 8in set of Woodys Executive $50 usd shipped to my door.

With 108 studs, you should be fine with 4.5" carbides, especially with shaper bars.
I just put a pair of woodys 4" extrender trail carbides on my 108 studded 136" venture with 98 srx skis. I works great with those, even with round bars. From my use of shaper bars on my xcsp, I noticed a huge difference in handling from new woody's 6" carbides to 6" stud boy shaper bars. They really make that much of a difference. I ride my venture very aggressively when it is only me on it, and I was very pleased with the 4" of carbides. The 2 or 3" that it had before was lacking, especially since they were worn out.
