i just picked up a 1999 sx500 for my son to learn on, it had the ngk b9es plugs in it, i went to the store to get a new set and the ngk book called for the b9ecs plug, i installed them and it runs alot worse than it did with the b9es plugs WHAT PLUGS SHOULD I PUT IN??????? thanks for any help you can give me.

BR9ES is your plug,,,gap 'em @ 0.30in

you can also run br9eix.* they do not foul as easy.* bro had a set in a 500 for 3 years before he fouled one.

THANKS!!!!! I thought i could tell a difference in the way it was running right after i put in the new plugs, started harder and idled real low, like it was loading up on fuel. i will make another trip to the store and get the right ones.
Try to get the BR9ES with a solid terminal. this particular plug comes in two versions, one solid terminal one which can unscrew.
