Motor age??

Hi eweryone !

I have Yamaha ET 340, year 1986 (Maybe).

Someone has changed the engine long time ago, and i want to know how old is it..

The number in engine is: E338-166310.

Is there website or something, where i can check this serialnumber?

I have to find some engine parts...

That should be a 1984 engine, or possibly early 1985 (leftover 84 engine). It likely came out of an '84 - ET340TH which started with engine number E338-155101.

Is there any differens between ( 84-8 motors ??

88- should be different crankcase ( With 3 bearing, the older with 2 bearings).

Is there something else ??
