well finally got the suspension in ,1994 vmax 600 with extra-10 .where should i have the front shock ,in the top position or in the lower mounting position?mostly trail ride and im big ,230 lbs.i put it in the top one but the ski,s seem a little light in the garage,is that just my imagination?how do you other guys have your xtra-10,s set up?

Where to put shock?

If you put it in the top hole which is the most vertical the you will have less ski pressure. The more the shock is laid down then more ski pressure you will have. Moving the shock into those positions is like tightening or loosening the spring preload and also changing the compression rate.

LMAO, like going from a toboggan to a Cadillac.

You must have been pretty jacked up to try it out yesterday.
Wasn't it like a thousand degrees below zero where you are?

went out for my maiden run today and what a pleasure it was to finally have a suspension that works under the vmax.

That is great news!

I have had all my Xtra 10's front shocks in the stock position, whatever that was.
