I have 99 v-max SX, 600. Currently it idles around 2100 rpm. Spec says 1600 +/- 100. Most sleds I have been around idle fairly high until they warm up, and then kick down. Mine doesn't, even with "burping" the trottle. Also, even with warming up (its been quite cold here, yes I have the carb water heater valve in the on position) it seems to bog a bit until I get it moving a bit. After that, absolutely no problems, great top end, great out of the hole. Should I just play with the idle screw, or is there other issues I should be looking at. Thanks in advance for any info given...Dan

I would pull off carbs clean, pay attention to the pilot jet, blow all passages
out with shop air, jets you wanta see daylight through them, set fuel screw's
to 2 turns out from lightly seated, set engine rpm's to 1600..
your carbs are dirty is the problem most likely
