What do you think of this clutch set-up for the trail? - 8BU,s with 4.5g in both holes, 51/43 helix, stock primary, green secondary, and 22-40 gearing? - see any problems? - anything I should do when I'm setting up my clutch to ensure I am getting full shift out?

The 8bu,s don,t backshift that well but that set up will rip for racing along with the (short) gearing. I really like the 8dn-20 weights from a 00-02 SRX for trail riding. Great backshift & they accelerate very well too.

Would the rest of the set-up work with the 8dn's? - think the gearing is to low?

The 8dn-20,s work well with a 51/43 but gearing is pretty low for general riding.I am just guessing that your sled is a 700 SRX?

yammiman, i am running pretty close to the same set up....except i am using the silver@70 deg for the secondary and only 2.7 in the tip for a better backshift .....22-39 gearing and i can still pull 106mph on the gun....the accelaration is awsome.
