I decided to install a twist throttle on my 2001 SXR700. I had a special cable made and the install went ok. But my problem is that it is very difficult to twist the throttle (tight). Should it be this hard to twist? I'm guessing its because the throttle connects to 3 carbs and the oil injection. Do I have any options?
(My hands are disabled so I can't use the stock thumb throttle)

Sounds like you have a leverage issue. What was the twist throttle designed for? A dirt bike? If so, those usually a re a single cylinder, and only have to more 1 carb, although some singles have twin carbs.
