tomarrow there are some local 1000' radar runs and i was wondering what gearing i should be running. Right now i am running 23 top and 38 bottom. Also, what should i be running for rpm's with trail ported cylinders?

Thanks

so how did u do on your run
ended up doing pretty good, slower than normal but the track was in bad shape. Had some ridges and about 1.5 inches of snow everywhere, and was snowing like a blizzard, also a scortching -20 degrees. We were running 97 which was enough to get a first place, two second places, and one third place. Everyone i knew there was getting a lot slower numbers than normal.

right now i am running right around 8500-8700 bouncing around in there, does this sound right??

Top end rpm should be no higher than 8500rpm, the ignition starts to retard at 8600. Anything over the 8500 and you start to lose hp.
