ok, this may be a dumb question to some of you, i personally have never had any problems with this but my friends is going through it right now (skidoo) and i was wondering if i was going to be next.
Have two SX mtn vipers. ones a 2004 written off because,..well you know. ones a 2002. both are identical as far as i can tell. The crank is gone in the 02, so was planning on putting the motor from the '04 (only has 700km on it) into the 02. My question is clutch alignment. My friend pulled his doo motor and since has all sorts of problems with blowing belts etc. Would this be a problem for me or should it just be a direct drop in fire it up and pin it? All other aspects of the sled will be the same. Same pipes, same primary clutch, same carbs, will be taking the motor and clutch carbs etc straight from the old and into the new. Just not sure about the clutch alignment.
Insight is appreciated!!
