Recently I put the GYT pipes on my 95 VMAX 600 and I gotta say I'm impressed with the performance gain. I also installed a Hauck #4 clutch kit. I really got a chance last weekend on the lake with it and I was able to beat our Formula III from a stop and a roll. Past 90 I don't think the VMAX has the legs of the triple but where it counts I'm really satisfied. I know a few guys have them on here, what are your experiences with these pipes? Similar gains?

I put a set on my 95 and wrecked a piston due to a wicked lean midrange.I jetted per bender instructions.After a little messing aroung with the needle clips I got it pretty good and ran it 4yrs with no trouble.They sounded good and put me about 4 lenghts in front my brothers 96 xt.

On my first time out with these pipes I went for a 75 mile trail ride and checked the plugs and they seemed a little dark, so I went to a hotter plug (BR8ES). I went to the lake the next time and did some fast runs and the plugs looked like new. I thought maybe to good so to be safe I put the new BR9ES back in. It runs perfect right now, but I don't want a meltdown either. This isn't my primary sled as I have faster ones anyway so I'm not really gonna be ragging on it. Thanks for the reply.
