1997 Exciter Power Air Jet What Is It?

Hi There I Have A 1997 Exciter 570 Twin Butterfly Carbs With A Small Fitting With A Fixed Jet Inside Fitting A Short Piece Of Hose Is Attached To The Barb Banjo Fitting About 4'' Long The Othe Carb Is The Same But The Hose Length Of Hose Is Shorter Maybe 3'' Long ?
Can Some One Please Explain On What A Power Air Jet Is And If It Can Be Modified Thank You
Any Assistance Much Appreciated Gents .

IT is supposed to help aid/add more fuel to help tune top end with those carbs as the carbs were prone to running lean/not delivering enough fuel up top. I believe they were refered to as power jet carbs and yes they can be modified to add or take away fuel. T

i had an 87 with the "oval bore" butterfly carbs ,other than drilling the pilot circut slightly to get rid od a fuel starvation off idle they worked fine
