8dn belts: anyone ever measure overall length?

just wondering who measures their belts before purchasing??? I have noticed up to a 1/2 in difference in overall length between belts.....it seems crazy to me that they can have that much variance in manufacturing.....most are within a 1/8-1/4 inch but some are way extreme.....out of 10 belts measured at the dealership i would prolly only purchase 2-3 because of their length. anybody else as anal as i am?

Never measured my belts. I run the 89L's though but either way to have that much variation in a belt has to effect things a bit.

seen it many times.i always take my tape with me.that 1/2" can really screw your good clutch set up.
