Well guys, I was on the right place a the right time again (craigslist). Last year I got a phazer for free, only needed a seat cover....
But this year, actually yesterday night I found a 1995 Warrior.
The good: It's a Yamaha, great chassy, no cracks, no rust, brand new rear tires, mint shocks, reverse, electric start, cool looking and FREE.
The bad: motor in 3 boxes, missing carb, missing exhaust, no lights, bad crankshaft, no piston. I'm sure is missing more tha a few things.
I think I have to find a used motor on ebay or somewhere, but I'm happy because is an all year round toy.
Anybody knows anything about them....any help would be apreciated, the lower cases seem to have 1 million gears and teh whole thing looks like a big puzzle that I will not be able to put together.
It's my first quad and I don't know much about them...no mixing oil...?
I learn a lot from this site about sleds, I hope I can get some info on this too
Anybody has a motor for sale...?
Thanks
Nick

check out bluetraxx.com to get started if you have any questions they will be more then happy to help you out there. as for a motor check there Ebay, and cragslist. you will not have to mix oil with that quad as it is a 4 stroke motor and needs normal oil changes. it is a good motor they still make it and put it in the raptor 350. good luck and have fun with it there fun lil ATV's

four stroke 350 cc. Yamaha warrior. Bullet proof atv, made them for almost 20 years before updating them to the raptor 350.
check out bluetraxx.com and join, great atv site.
If you are rebuilding the engine you may want to do a hotrods.com stroker crank for that thing. Either that or check out ww.powroll.com for their 400cc warrior big bore kit.
Exhausts are cheap for the warriors, check into HMF or whitebro's exhaust. No sense in doing a full system on that thing, the head pipe for aftermarket exhausts for the warriors are the same as stock. Just do a slip on pipe.
As for the carb check out ebay or bluetraxx classifieds.
Good luck. I had a 1989 warrior and rode it up until 2005, the only thing i did to it was change sprockets and the chains besides routine maintenance. They are extremely reliable.

Thanks for all the info...
At this point I was thinking just to get a stock exhaust since is missing the hole thing, and then after I run it, I will start with mods.....I see that is missing a lot of bolts and stuff. I need to go to the dealer and get a few bolts for the nerf bars, and after I have the size just go to the hardware store and get the rest, some plastics are also loose, I think I have a nice spring project.
I did register on Bluetraxx, and already found some things, waiting on replys...
Saw a complete motor on ebay go for 350 yesterday....will keep my eyes open for another one
