V max 600 question

what does this means on a 97 Vmax 600 HTC The coolant light lights up one long and two short blinks but after 5500 rpm light goes out
What is this code my dealer does not know or he will not tell me
Any help would be appreciated

discontinuity or shorting of the air temperature senser is detected...check
for bad or broken wires in the harness or by the senser,or check senser
it may be bad..

but no sensor on air box and no connector close by.My carbs have a TP sensor on them I don't know if this makes a difference.
I burnt a piston and just wondering if this light had something to do with it.
I replaced the jug and piston checked every thing else can't find anything wrong.

That is because you do not have smart carbs like the venture and Mountain max 600 have.

Dunno then,,thats the imformation my FSM shows for that code,is your
sled a XTC?

Yes it is 1997 XTC short track no reverse no electric start. Motor runs very well now but light still comes on but goes off around 5500 RPM
