Which Yamaha's run Hyvo gears? Trying to find some for a SRX and wasn't sure if a Viper's gear would fit or not,Also read on a previous post that polaris gears will work.

DEVIL, 2000-01-02 SRX USED THE 13 WIDE HYVO. GOOD QUESTION ON THE VIPER. I THINK THEY DID TO. I WAS THE ONE THAT POST ABOUT POLARIS GEARS. THEY ARE ALSO HYVO BUT ITS 2000 XCR 800 AND UP ONLY. REASON FOR THIS IS DEFFERENCE IN PRICE BETWEEN POLARIS AND YAMAHA. 3:16 (yammie tony)

so Tony its only a XCR hyvo gear that will fit the Yamaha Shaft?

2000 yamaha SRX700 shafts are 15 spline correct? all polaris that run hyvo gears are the same hyvo gears correct?
I ordered some Team gears that are HYVO they listed all Polaris 1996-2009 machines use the same gears.

thats kinda what i was wondering,i see some polaris Hyvo gears but i wasn't sure if they will fit on the Yamaha Shaft..2000 and up XCR gears will work.SRX700guy said:

I ordered a team gear for my SRX and had to shim it. It does not use the same spacer on the rear of the gear as the stock ones. Actually I had trouble getting it spaced correctly to line up with the top gear. The 13 wide stands for the number of plates on the chain. 98-99 SRX had 15w gears and chain. 00-02 had 13w gears and chain.
found out that the TEAM HYVO gears are 13 wide for Polaris 1996-2009 I should be good to go since I ordered both top and bottom gears
