anyone else getting pi--ed off about 4 wheelers on trails this weekand i saw about 10 on the club trails they groove the trails and make them unsafe with rutts the rcmp is going to come down hard on them they say i will believe it when i see it .We only ask for the trails for 2 months goes to show what they think of us or anybody else for that matter i could kick them in the nu-s

I had and instance where 2 sport quads absolutely destroy a literally freshly groomed trail a few years ago. They were the first machines to use this trail, and they ruined it. I only saw them for a few moments and they ruined the trial so badly I could't catch them. The worst part was that that trail connects 2 cities and is not groomed as often as it should be in the first place.

They need to say off the trails....

i agree i guess we should stand up and say get the f--k off the trails but alot of people wont say i thing they dont want to have trouble but someone has to do something we pay for trail passes insurance tags i bet more then half them dont even carry insurance .If they catch us with no trail pass or insurance we can get a thousand dollar fine they should be treated the same

I ride both. Some of the ATV trails in Michigan are open to sleds and ATVs in the winter. I don't really have a problem when they have the right to be there. ATVs in Michigan also have to purchase an ORV pass. From what I have noticed, other sleds can destroy a trail faster then ATVs. A lot depends on trail conditions. When the trails are firm and packed down, ATVs do almost zero damage. If the trails are soft and wet, ATVs destroy a trail. ATV clubs in my area do a lot to improve the trail system that is shared by snowmobilers. If your trails are closed to ATVs in the winter, chase them down and hang them!

your not alowed to ride four wheelers in the winter on the trails here in maine if you do your gonna be lookin at a nice fine.

Certain trails are being opened to quads here in MI. They are called multi use trails. Sleds destroy trails as much as quads do. At the price of new sleds nowadays I can't blame them for taking out there quads.

If its a "snowmobile" only trail, then you have a gripe..... I got chewed out by some snowmobilers last week for going down the Multipurpose trail last week on my Rancher 420 towing my portable fish house to the lake........ THEN they proceed to trench the middle of the trail when they took off at WOT...
