I just bought a used M10. I saw some damage to the rear shock top eyelet, but when I removed the shock I found the rear shock bottom eyelet totally worn through (see pic). The M10 is a 2001 or newer (standard) with a JACK.
Has anyone had this happen? The top eyelet was damaged when the prior owner had the bolt fallout and he kept riding the machine. There was some wear marks on the shock mount on the swing arm as well. I could see how this could happen if you are far from home and must ride back to find parts (his track must be ruined). But the bottom took some time to wear through....I'm wondering if the PO used the wrong hyfax that let the track rub on the shock bottom....
Any ideas out there? Thanks for any ideas !
