Well first off I've gotta thank everyone on this site that gave me advise and answered my questions. Thanks, 03Viperguy for his awesome instructions and hole template, BetheViper, and Hartmans just to name a few. Before I started this project I read soooo many threads that I litterally got a headache, but it was worth it. I wanted to stretch my sled but I also wanted a better ride.
Here it is: 03 Viper with an 06 Monoshock skid w/rail extensions, Tunnel extension, 9 tooth extro's, 136 Hacksaw w/162 studs, all new bearings, seals, bushings, and wheels, and the crown jewel the Vector MTN rack on the back (I did ask Yamahaboy701 for permision). I can't wait to get it out on the trail!! :bling: :letitsnow

It actually fit pretty good! Took a little extra trimming cause my extension is a little shorter than yours, but it'll still hold a 12 pk or a cooler pretty good. Thanks again for the idea!!

I got a skinz bag for mine, it would fit good on yours too. I keep my hmk shovel, Rattler Snobunje, extra gloves, hats, water bottles and other people stuff in mine. It is the universal bag found here: http://www.skinzprotectivegear.com/snowmobilegear.html

Once again very nice job over all. I wish i would have used the shorter extension like yours.

Are you guys rolling your chaincases? Just wondering. I am looking to roll my chaincase and talked to mpi and they were no help.

looks great, glad the template worked out for you. how does it ride? like the mono??
Rides pretty good, not sure what made the biggest diff the mono or the 136. I've still got some spring and shock setup to work out, but so far so good.

the mono. I have ridden a 136 before, and thought it ALMOST rode as well as my mono :) so I would figure a 136 mono would be great. I just like the sharper handling so I kept mine short

I didn't have to roll the chaincase. I stayed with a 1" lug and 9 tooth extros.

Nice job. We are going to do an 02 Viper this year. My son rides this sled so the ride is not as big of an issue as the performance off trail so I was wondering how much of a difference this made in the deep snow? We too have read most of the articles on upgrading the Viper to 136". Lots of talk of just stretching the pro action skid and changing the approach angle.

Your thoughts ?
Did you use the Hartman track and tunnel extensions?
