Hey guys I was just wondering what some of you did for a ramp. I have a tri fold ramp that I had to put strips on for cabides but it still wants to flip up the tail gate. Any info?

use a racket strap, attach to the rung of the ramp and to underneath of the bumper, pull tight, should stay in place.

yes, similar to how the ATV ramps work, cam strap or ratchet strap, doesnt need to be super tight

My carbides love to bite into my strips I put on my ramp. What did you use?

I used multi glides I think they are made by Powermadd. They are mainly for trailers but I just mounted them to my ramps.

I just used some wainscotting board I had laying around that was scrap and painted. Some sheet metal screws and zip it's on. Of course the carbides like to bite on it...

I bought tri-fold ramps that have slots built into the side ramps for adding a 16 inch by 6 foot by 1/4 piece of plywood and i just use the attached cables and hook onto the tailgate and it works great.

Since it's on the truck, not the trailer, why not get an inexpensive wench? Power or crank type. Figure out a way to mount it to the forward bed area or use a pulley to redirect the cable if you rear mount the wench.

Sometimes those seemingly inexpensive wenches turn out to be real expensive in the long runFuzzButt said:Since it's on the truck, not the trailer, why not get an inexpensive wench? Sorry man, just my warped sense of humor getting the best of me again . . .
