Hopefully I am heading in the right direction here... Please tell me what you think, so I don't screw something up.

Contrary to what a lot of people have told me about twin pipes, I have decided to keep my PSI Twins. I just ordered the thin head gasket (not sure what size, but it has three layers??? Should I remove one or two???) from Hauck Performance for the 600 twin, and I'm changing all my clutching specs to match most of PSI's settings for the twin pipes. I am also planning on installing a set of Boyesen Reeds, and removing the airbox baffle. I just changed out all the rollers, weights, and springs. I'm going to be running the following settings, and would appreciate any feedback you can give me. I will be riding at 7000-10,000 feet.

Primary spring: Pink/Pink/Pink
Primary Rollers: 15.6 mm
Primary Shims: 3
Primary Weights: 8AY (39.8 Grams) (PSI recommends 8AY-40's but the dealership didn't have the -40's Are the 8AY's okay?)
Secondary Spring: Silver (PSI Recommends the Pink secondary, but the dealership didn't have the pink, is this okay?)
Secondary Helix: 39 Degree
Secondary Setting: 70 Degrees (1 and 6) (Recommended for the pink spring, should I reduce the angle, or increase it?)
Gearing: 18/39

Prior to all of this work, I was running 142.5 Mains. Just wondered what jets I should install to compensate for the airbox mod, thinner headgasket, premium fuel, and reeds.

Also, please tell me if I should adjust the float in the carbs, or stick with the current settings, and what needle clip I should be set at. Do you think the silver spring is too aggressive for the secondary?

Please leave feedback.

Thanks

This is a tough one with out testing the sled 1st hand, all the set ups I have are for GYT pipes...Let me look into the set up further to see if I can help....Can you tell m,e the RPM , where they make there power???

Well, supposedly with the above settings (PSI exact settings) I should be engaging at around 4500 RPM and peak should be 81-8200. I haven't had the sled out yet, so I'm not sure.

Any ideas on jetting? I don't know what needle clip I should be using, or what Main and Pilot jet's I should be running. Prior to the upgrades I was running 142.5 Mains, and 52.5 Pilot's.

Would I be okay to up the Pliot to 55's and run 145 Main Jet's? The thing I'm most concerned about is the removal of the airbox baffle, and running new reeds. I don't want to be too lean on the mid range, or the bottom.

Any suggestions or help are greatly appreciated.
