shocks are finished they are froozen to the core and pretty sure there is water inside them. I am in need for new shocks, is there another yamaha with the same shocks?.. I am looking at the shocks off an 98 srx 700, i am hoping they will fit on my machine. thanks

viper shocks will work, as will xt, xtc, and sxr shocks. They need to be from a long travel sled.

If you do alot of bashing, get a set of SX-R shocks, if you stick to groomed trails then get the XT, XTC, Vmax Deluxe shocks.

If you ride hard get 02 Viper shocks. They have a little stiffer valving than even the SXR shocks and they have silver springs on them. They'll look better on your sled than white springed sxr shocks.
I would like to put a longer shocks for more clearance can i keep the stock a arms if lifted it 3-4 iches, or put a lift kit?

your phazer already has the "long travel" suspension so it has the longer shocks. SX-R / Viper shock have more "sit in" so they actually sit lower at rest than the Phazer/Vmax shocks. If you want it to sit high with a better ride get a set of Vmax DELUXE or XTC for a better ride then the phazer shocks.
how much longer are they compare to the phazer shocks. And will they fit, i dont want to get a pair of shocks that was recomended and then they dont fit

they are not any "longer" the Phazer pro-action chassis shares ALL the same suspension parts with the same year V-max (Vmax deluxe has upgraded shocks, SX-R has stiffer "performance" shocks). The only shocks that won't work from a same year Yamaha are SRX shocks, those don't have "long travel" suspension like the rest. The phazer is a Vmax 500 with a Fancooled motor dropped in place of the 500 liquid.
