I currently have a 2001 SXR600 and I want to upgrade to a 700. I was looking for some help from you guys. I really like the performance of the SRX but am a little concerned about the suspesion horror stories I have heard (horrible ride and travel). Looking for a ripper for everyday trail riding with a good ride. Any info would be great.

I would buy a 2001 sxr 700 and pipe it!!!! Thats the last year of the sxr's and there is no powervalves to play with. If you tune it well it will stay up there with the srx's and you will get the suspension benefits of the sxr!! Vipers are nice sleds too, but they have problems with cooling.....it is also kinda nice to have the last year that the sxrs where made
My 2 cents!!!!

I would just pipe your 600, the sx700r aren't much quicker than the 600's. With just clutching alone my 600 walks away from my dads stock 700. OR find a used 700 topend and carbs and bolt them on your 600. The 600 and 700 share the same crankcase, crank, rods, and exhaust.
