How do you improve the backshift in my clutch. It doesn't backshift until I either slow right down to a crawl or hit the brake. I don't know the history of machine, don't think it's stock clutching because the engagement is really high also.

you need to know what is going on in the clutches before someone will give you a good answer!!!!!!! But the tighter you run your helix wrap on the secondary the better it will backshift. Also with that your rpms will increase so watch it!!! What sled is it for?
02 Viper, bought it used last year so I don't have any idea what he's done to it, all I know is it revs really high on take off and doesn't backshift very well.

For anyone to help you, you are going to have to find out what the helix is and what weights are in it and what the rivets are that are in the weights what the primary spring is by the color strips on the spring.....and what the secondary is buy the color strip on the spring. But before all that, we are going to want to know what the rpms do during engagement and when you pin it what do the rpms jump to right away and what are the wot rpms... Then people can help you get it to run right!!!!! Start with the rpms!!!
