TM Flat slide carb tunning?

I am doing some major modifications to my 1996 Vmax XT (big bore, twin pipes airbox mods etc) I been reading lots of forms were other vmax owners have had to add Q8 Nozzels. How do these Nozzels differ from sock? And I have the TM 36 Carbs most people are running TM 38 do they have the same internal parts? And were would I buy these nozzels?

starting from the last question, any mikuni dealer will have access to these parts. internal parts are interchangable, different bore. nozzle s affect fuel flow/delivery. the q8's were added to the left carb on 94/95 vmaxes for gyt pipe installs, to correct a lean condition. q8's were stock on the 96 tm's.
