fixed the wiring harness under the motor and there was some rub through..still no spark...checked stator and it is in spec...checked the pick up coil and when I pull over the motor there is some voltage...I also check the pick up coil at the CDI and there is voltage but no spark on any plug.
Disconnected headlight relay...no spark...I am thinking CDI but not 100% sure.

I had the same problem. It was the pick-up coil on mine. When I pulled the sled over it showed a very small amount of Voltage but it was shot. You have to measure the resistance through it. Mine showed infinte reistance so it had a break somewhere. I'll try to find the thread on here that shows how much resistance or ohms you should be showing.

Here it is. If it is your CDI then I happen to have an extra one. I bought it because I though my CDI went.

thanks....I will check the resistance...I should have known better and checked resistance. I will let you know.
A friend of mine has the same problem. No spark, replaced the stator with a new one, still no luck. Please bear with my ignorance, but what is the pick up coil? Can someone show me that on a microfishe?

Cant show you on fische but its the little block/box that bolts on with 2 bolts. Roughly at the 10-11 oclock position. Outside of stator but inside of flywheel. New stator should have came with new pick up.norwegian said:A friend of mine has the same problem. No spark, replaced the stator with a new one, still no luck. Ok, I called my mechanic, it did come with that, but still no spark

I have had a bad key switch cause no spark. Try unplugging it and then check for spark. They will run with the key switch unplugged.

Try testing the key-switch, and the kill switch with a meter, that eliminates those 2 things
I'm in the same boat
just have no time to look for the problem just yet

Key switch and kill switch have been tested, it's not any of them.
I suspect there is a grounding issue or a broken wire somewhere.

This may be a stupid question, but what is a "condenser coupler", can someone show me that on a microfishe? How does one measure if it's ok?

Have you found the problem yet ?
still haven't had time to rip mine apart yet

anytime you dont have spark you follow the power from the source.
so whats the voltage coming from the pick up coil when you pull it over?
