i am thinking about trading my 2000 srx 700 for a 2003 sx mountain viper to make my trail riding a less painfull experience.will this mountain help ease the bumps even though its made for mountain climbing..how much better will it be in the rough trails ?? ty
it will be a little smoother due to the longer track...when the 05 Viper mtn came out they had the pro mountain suspension...not sure what the difference is...a lot of guys will say change the skid on your srx or find some ohlins shocks

Got Ohlins installed in my 2004 modded MNT Viper...rides sweet...but I 'm a bigger guy. I know the factory rear suspension gas shocks out of my sled are a better shock than what was stock in the MM's
I dont recall, but wouldnt a 700SRX have Ohlins already? Longer skid will help abit

mtn. viper is alot narrower than the srx-ski ctr . to ctr. (as are all mtn sleds)therefor it tends to be very tippy on the trails. does not handle like the srx at all. a friend of mine has mtn viper and i have driven it many times. top speed is only like 140 -150kph.
This will be a sweet ride. I love the 03 Mtn. Viper suspension for trails. If set up right you can rip the moguls and no-one can keep up with you. For powder riding, you have to experiment with it to get things right. Alot of people blame the '03-'04 suspension for trenching, but after several years of mountain riding, it is not the suspension but a combination of other things that have given the Mtn. Viper a bad powder name. You will love the suspension for aggresive trail riding.
