Holy Snappin' Batman!!! Just picked this sled up for the lady friend and kids to use and the fuel mileage is horrible. My 700xt gets twice the mileage as this twin. Is this normal and is there any way to make it better? The sled is stock except plastic skiis. Has elect start and reverse. It can maybe get 120km per tank of gas. Thx
The twin cylinder motors ARE hard on fuel.

The twins are hard on gas but that may be excessive.
But how much is a tank of gas? How many gallons (litres) to fill it up? Have seen several people say "per tank of gas", but that could be 8 gallons or 12 gallons - big difference. Set the tripmeter and do the math. Make sure the tank is filled to the exact same spot. 10 miles per gallon is common on those sleds - whatever that would be in metrics.
Check the enrichener adjustment. Put in new spark plugs if they have not been changed. Check to see if the belt width is within the wear range.

i can get 160 km per tank all daylong with my 94 vmax.there are a lot of factors that play into milage!if i baja with the 600 there goes the milage big time ,if the snow is verry sticky same thing .keep the sled in a excellent state of tune .yamadan said:

I have the exact same sled, mine holds 50L of fuel and I weigh 350lbs and run it hard all day and usually can get 150+ km out of it, at half a tank my buddy with his 670 formula is looking for fuel, he is empty.
