question on srx driven pulley

Is it normal for me to be able to move the driven pulley back and forth about two to three inches before it wants to advance the chan case ? Also, how do I access the chaincase... tia

yeah, if I grab the pulley, and turn it back or forwards, it moves about 2 to 3 inches before the clunk of something meeting something.....

chain must be way loose.

thanks, how do I access the chain case ? Is it under the breather ??

on the right hand side of the sled..under the hood, right by the dipstick where you check the chaincase oil ( you do check it....right ??) there is a bolt stick out towards the front....loosen the lock nut, turn bolt untill there is no more slop in secondary ( driven pulley) and tighten lock nut.

loosen jam nut in front of bolt, turn bolt finger tight only,, no wrench needed except to snug jam nut tight afterwards,..
