Just picked up an '03 low 1300 mile 600 Venture , but I have a couple questions :
1) Did the sled come with a wrench to adjust the suspension , no book or wrench came with this sled . Best place too get something , haven't got too try the wrench from the '06 Vector tools as the are in diferent states right now .
2) My arms are too short too use the backrest ( solo ) , just barly gets to my back and arms pretty straight , so I was thinking about throwing a handle bar riser on to bring them back a little , 2 - 3 " be about right ? Cables gonna be too short / tight , Thoughts ?
3) I'm not crazy about looking thru / at the top of the windy and was thinking about thowing a mid size on there , but worried about too much air on the passanger ( 10 yr old ) , any thoughts ?
I was surprise it cornered as well as it did and rode pretty well , maybe a little softer on the suspension would be good . I missed the little pocket my Vector GT has on the handle bar pad , might need to find one of those and a windshield bag too thow things in , came with a junk aftermarket cover , needs a factory cover , other than that great sled .
Thanks for any helpfull thoughts you have !! Doc

Well, my 97 venture 600 has a low useless windshield on it. It sux for use on a 2 up, especially with 2 people on it. I have not heard the pasenger complain of being too windy, but I imagine I will hear about how much nicer it is once I fianlly get at least a 16" screen on there. Our sled did not come with a wrench either. I bought a univeral spanenr wrhench and it works fine.

I really like our venture. It handles well, despite kinda soft shocks/ suspension, rides great even with 2 adults on it up to 50 mph in rough stuff, and runs well now. I wish the rear handwarmers worked better, even with an aftermarket grip set it still does not get too warm, but the driver's ones work too well.

I think I need a set of those fabric hand grip covers for the passenger. That might be all it needs.

It could get better mpg, but those 600 twins are not so good on gas anyway.
