anybody know if you can check the speedsensor with a meter? my speed started to jump all over the place, if it read anything at all.

better check the dry bearing on the left hand side of the cog. Remove the secondary clutch and it is right underneath. Sounds like you have blown a bearing hopefully you haven't damaged the tunnell

I just replaced that bearing before the trip i took when the speedo started acting up. I removed the sensor and gear. the bearing and shaft is tight and looks good. I'm just intrested in checking the sensor before thowing money at a new one.

well I guess if it worked before you changed the bearing it must be the sensor or something happened with reinstallation.....you can pick up another sensor pretty cheap on hear though
