Here's the story.
Went up north for the first time this year riding along about 10-15 mile nice smooth trails. Get to some mogules no big deal, Hmm the skid jump as i hit the first one No compression on the skid. Interesting i pull over and push down only minimal movement like 1/2" to an 1" enough for the transfer rods to just slide down to the stop thats all that appeared to move. Hmm look under for ice and such couldn't find anything to abnormal. Turned around and went back to the cabin.
Put the cover over the skid and placed an electric heater safely beneath (not touching the cover) Checked it every half hour or so and after about 4hrs i got about 4 inches of travel and the slide rails started moving horizontally.
Rode the sled about 150 miles like this and it wasn't too horrible as the travel i did have took most of the smaller bumps (i only weight 165).
Well we loaded them up and i have looked it over and honeslty i am stumped. I have ran a coat hanger around the shock mounts and shafts.
AnyIdea you can feel it hit when it bottoms out at 4" of travel or so it just doesn't seem right.
As far as the skid is concerned it has all new bearings, bushings and all shafts are correctly sized. Both Shocks were rebuilt before last season as well and it has a new track with about 1-1/2" of space with about 20lbs.
There is also a vibration when turning like its binding up but no marks on the highfaxes (that i could see) or any damage to the track as mentioned it was brand new when i installed it last year.
