Snowmobile "Fun Run" Grayling Michigan 2-14-09 weekend

Hi Guys & Gals,
Here is an email that I got today from the Grayling area chamer of commerce, where I normally get my trail info. I'm thinking about attending...anyone interested?? Tracy
Dear snowmobile email list subscriber,

I received this press release and thought some of you might be interested...

The 5th Annual Snowmobile Fun Run to benefit the AuSable Valley Animal Shelter will be held Saturday, February 14th. Make a difference for homeless animals and have fun at the same time!

Entry is a $25 donation which includes lunch, dinner, a commemorative t-shirt and many chances to win prizes. Registration begins at 11 a.m.
at The Swamp II in Frederic. Lunch will be provided at the time of check-in.

From The Swamp, participants will take a leisurely roundtrip ride visiting all sponsors and ending back at The Ole Barn for dinner, dancing and prize drawings. Those wishing to participate by car are also welcome.

Pre-registration by mail is highly encouraged to allow organizers to plan meals. Pre-register by completing a form available at any sponsor location (or the one provided in the Crawford County Avalanche) and mailing along with check or money order in the appropriate amount to:
AuSable Valley Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 384, Grayling, MI 49738-0384.

Registration forms are also available at the animal shelter, all sponsor locations and the Crawford County Avalanche.

The outing was a pretty good deal although there was no real ride-able snow in Grayling, I drove from checkpoint to checkpoint by vehicle as I was not going to risk wrecking my sled just to go and have fun.
I'm NOT into hanging out at bars to much but, I had a decent time reminiscing and conversing with other sledders about lifes experiences.
Lastly I came home with more than my moneys worth in give aways. It would've been nice to meet a couple people from this forum there, but I guess the economy and lack of friendships on my part from here could be to blame…. T
