sled will skip when running hard. new coils, plugs, clean carb, clean fuel pump. cat and skidoo tech's say stator and yamaha tech said not stator or cdi. works good at 1/2 tp 3/4 throttle or after coold down. cylinder at 100 psi. 6000 miles on sled and new rings and pistons at 3000.

Fuel Filter? Plug Boots? Muffler Bearing?
Whats the jetting set at?? If the jets are to large it will break up at full throttle. What color are the plugs currently??

thanks for responding.
My next step is replace spark plug boots, and check the fuel. I was told too much dry gas will cause the same thing. Told dry gas just sit in the bottom of the tank, it will not burn. The only fuel filter is in the tank and that is a coarse screen correct? I've not seen any other fuel filter. feed back please.
jetting: I've had the same bender set up in for 3 years and it has run just fine till now. the plugs are chocolate brown, look good.

The filter in my tank was a paper/screen filter. It was pretty dirty, don't know when it was changed last because, I bought it (the sled) last Dec.
Might as well drain the tank while your at, start with fresh gas.

last w/e went riding with skidoo that did the same thing as my 7oo. Buddy thinks it may be the crank seals leaking. What's your take on this? fuel filter is not the issue. dumped all gas and installed high octaine, drained carbs. No change still cuts out

Well, at least you've ruled out bad gas. If you think it's the crank seals a dealer or repair shop can test that for you.

I will be doing my own repairs. How do they test?

They basically plug everything and then pressurize the crankcase. I think I saw post on it this fall. I was considering it, but never had it done, because I fixed my problem by changing the filter and gas and cleaning carbs a second time.

Cylinder PSI should be closer to 120 psi. Check your rings.

FOUND PROBLEM. Another person said it's a fuel problem. I decided to remove the carbs and completely go thru them. Remove float and needle seat. removed the needle valve and under it is a filter. "PLUGED" The green skum in line and pump over the summer all gathered and plugged all three carb screens on needle valve. This restricted the fuel flow at higher rpm's when much fuel was needed.
thanks for the assistance and pass info along to others with high rpm and cut out issues.
