my srx has adjustable transfer rods in the rear that are factory ,my question is should there be 2 lastic spacers on the top and none in the bottom ? I bought it the machine was setup for ice drags and it looks as if the rear of the track sitting on the floor in my garage is up to high i dont want to start adjusting the gap if one of the spacers is suppose to be on the bottom .Any advice?

On my 03 viper there is one on top and one on the bottom. I think that is the way yours should be too. Someone will chime in soon to confirm, I'm sure. -Ed

im not sure i dont know if it was changed for height the skid was strapped down with a drag tack on it .i started to adjust the rear as front shock was to tight alost a 1/4 in to the end of adjustment .i got that straightened out but my buddies 01 has same rods but one on bottom and one on top .but he bought his used and has had work done to it .same track same number of studs but his hooks up alot better then mine .
Usually one spacer is on top and one on bottom. They come in different thicknesses. The spec for your sled stock should be in the service manual. If you don't have one, post the model (specific) and year and we can look it up for you. This gap of course controls how much and where the uncoupled travel in suspension occurs.

i dont have a service manual ,my sled is a 2000 srx non ohlins i have 2 spacers on the top none on the bottom.there is a thick and a thin .the larger of the two is tapered if that makes a difference .any insight would be great the rear suspension is all stock with the exception of 5 3/8 wheels
The 2000 SRX (both the base and the S) had a 15mm spacer on the upper, and a 5mm spacer on the lower (15mm/5mm).
the 1999 SRX's had (2.5mm/15mm)
The 2000 SRX's had the new 8ED control rods which are 262.5mm total length, and 146mm upper length. Whereas the 1999 SRX's used the common 8CR control rods which are 310.5mm total and 200mm upper length.
Unless you have a tuning plan in mind, I would revert to stock. Over time the metal on metal contact of running without a spacer will wear the parts out.
