My 80 SRX seems to start pretty good when its cold but when brought to operating temp is very hard to get started. I am running stock 85 pilots. It will fire but as soon as you try to bring in any throttle it dies???

Hey, Just wanted to report that the problem has been found. The SRX starts very good now. The problem was with a clogged port for the pilot in the rear of the carb. When I blew air and carb cleaner through the port it would pass but was not totally clean until I pushed a thin copper wire through it. Be very thourgh on your carb cleaning. I have cleaned hundreds of carbs and this one really bit me in the, Ya you know what I mean!
