my 01 srx is eating drive belts.I have had sled 3 years and never had a problem. the only thing changed is I tightened up track because it seemed quite loose. is it possible this is going on because track is to tight?it seems to be doing it when i run above 50mph or so.primaryclutch getting real hot.if going on slower rides clutches only warm.
If the primary is getting hot then it is not grabbing the belt right. You may need to rebuild your clutches. It is possible that a tight track can contribute to slippage, but I doubt it is the root cause. How tight is tight? Does the track move by hand with the sled elevated?
I would have a close look at the primary, as running it that way can crack the sheaves.

I can move it but takes a good pull.saw on tech pages that people think yami spects are to tight.found out i was a bi tighter than that. I will loosen a bit and check out clutches. Thanks for the input Ding.

see if you have a broken motor mount or if the bolts came out of one of them
