Trailing arms???

Some time back I posted all of the different arms Yamaha used in recent history, and the dimensions. If you want to know this detail, just do a search or look at a ProAction Suspension Tuning manual, or one of the Tech Update Manuals that have the info for all years. Like mentioned above, they are stamped on the front of the radius rod mounts with a letter.

Thanks for the info. I was really searching on what it would take to put some cb performance Aluminum trailing arms on the viper. I could have got them VERY cheap. But doesn't sound like they would work out. (I was really searching for what it would take to make them work)

Ding-I do use the search A LOT.

Thanks again.

i know there different but i think they will go on..a friend of mine put a set off a viper on his sxr..

I believe the only differences are the spindle tube length and caster angle. If you're swapping whole assemblies (arm and spindle) they'll bolt right on. I think the Viper and SXR share the same tube length and perhaps the same caster. The SRX has the shorter tube length and a different caster angle. Speaking from memory, there are three set-ups. Short travel (SX,SRX), long travel (SXR,VIPER) and Mountain.

I remember asking Scott (BetheViper) when I long traveled/widened my SRX about the affects of different caster angles (bump steer, steering effort) and I think his comment was both are so crappy to begin with it wouldn't make much difference.

He was right.

correct they were deffinitly different tube lenghts...so dontr take my post as there the same thing but im sure they would bolt up..& im not sure of everything he changed.
