The strangest thing happened to me on the trails yesterday. About half a Km into our ride my sled ('01 Srx 700) was brought to a screeching halt, it sounded like the belt was screaming but the sled actually stopped itself. Opened the hood and saw metal shardes everywhere. Took the clutch cover off and it now appears that the button head (hex) bolt that is part of the motor mount/stabilizer came loose and got caught on the inside of my secondary. It totally destroyed the inside secondary sheave. i have ordered the new sheave and bolt which was thankfully only $150.

What do i need to do to take the secondary apart, put the new inside sheave in, and put it back in the sled. I am a newbie when it comes to clutches but have worked on pretty much everything else on this sled. Thanks,

put on park brake and remove center bolt and clutch will slide off watch for washer shims on both sides youll need them to realign the clutches
