Trying to install some adj trods on an 00 SXr... large idler on top is having no part of it!! Manual shows flat washer and circlip, but they just arent there! Some PBBlaster and a rubber mallet, no move. Gear puller just wants to bend the plastic wheel. What am I missing? Are there any tricks? Dont want to destroy or replace.

Hints?? :o|

If Im thinking of the same thing, use a socket thats close to the size of the bushing in the wheel and a hammer to drive it out the other side of the skid. The circlip is to hold the bushing in the wheel.

Rubber mallet and 2x4 chunk of wood works every time....Just don't be afraid to hit it to hard...

happened to my buds sxr.. wheel finaly fell off and left the bearing.. then I used the wheel puller on that...no problem though the clip went right back in after a clean up of the groove... 500 mi. later its still intact!

Got er done... what a PITA. The rear mounted circlip was the key. Thanks guys. ;)! If I ever do it again, Im just pulling the skid though. Way too cramped, and even on my lift, my back is achin'. :o|
