blew up middle cyl 3 times wtf

on the jet needles, the clip should be in the middle groove, w/both shims underneath....this will = 3.0 needle height. on a '01 srx, the stock jetting is pilots 40, fuel screws @ 1-1/8 turns out, 150 main pto, and 148.8 center and mag. fuel nozzle should be a Q-6.

thanks I will look at them to make sure all is correct.

thanks for all the info, will look in to this and see what I can find out, or will be looking into another engine or a parting out

still need to know if there is a way to test fuel pump on the bench? is there a way to mimic the pulse ther engine creates with blowing air past the whole and pinching the line quickly?????[/QUOTE]

Not a easy way to bench test fuel pump. Tried to use mighty vac on mine couldn't work it fast enough between pressure and vacuum to get it to pump.
When tried to vacuum test for leak, would leak out vent because has .050'' drain hole in diaphram. Took mine apart and did visual inspection.

Best way to check for air leaks is to pressure/vacuum test engine when it's together.

dave i'll either suck on the line, or use a mighty vac just hold the release button and do not do full pumps just short quick ones.

Ypu need to use yer mouth, and without sounding like a cheap 70's pron, you need to quickly suck then blow, suck then blow

Basically you need to make the diaphram actuate in the pump...aka PULSE
