I recently put a new 1.25 x 121 ripsaw in my stock Phazer and in deep snow it needs a little lower gear. Any recomendations, I don't care if I loose a little top end. But when tryngt o get going off the trail it won't spin the track like it did stock. Thanks Mike

put a lower tooth upper gear in the gear case. You will have to pull the cover off then remove the gears and chain. Not sure what yours is stock, but you could drop one or two if you really want to. I would start with one since you can usually stick with the stock chain at that point. Not a hard job, just keep a close eye to what shims and washers go where.
I like 19-39 with a 68L chain in that sled. Yah you lose top end on hardpack, but wow it really wakes up that little fan.

Well I put a 19 top gear in and just taking it in the yard feels like a whole new sled. It really hooks up now thanks for the help. Mike

in my 01 Mountain Lite theirs a 18 tooth top gear and 39 tooth bottom gear, she pulls pretyy good for a 500 fan, but I cant get no more than around 115-125 km/hr max depending on snow conditions, but in the powder she really shines!!!
