looking at buying a peak performance heads for my 98 srx 700
just wondering if that would be a good idea...would i have to change any jets or just bolt on... my sled is stock with minor clutching...

you wouldn't need to rejet, but i wouldn't bother changing the head on a srx. if you had a viper, then yes...change head.
only reason is that i melted 2 pistons and it messed up 2 of my heads....i found the peak head and just wondering if that would be better or the same..

what cc domes are in the head you're interested in? if you need to get new heads, cause your old ones are bad, then yes, it might be worth looking at the peak head. what's all wrong w/your old heads? would you be willing to get rid of them?
not sure what cc domes yet...didnt get a email back from the guy yet...
my old ones are all chipped up...i melted one piston bad and that one is just all ruff on the head...one is just fine and the other one has a few groves in it...
sure i would sell them...
it was weird nothing happened to the cylinder walls tho...not even a scratch

just found out that the peak head is 17.4 cc...

yeah, you need to find some other domes for sure. that motor wouldn't live as a trail motor w/93 octane, w/17cc domes. i would look for some 24cc domes.

you can get a peak head, but just need to make sure you're getting 24cc domes w/it. also, if you can find a megapower head, that will work too, but again, something around 24cc would be what i would run.
