power valve question

Daman - Thanks for all the comments on the forum. I feel like we all have our own personal expert! Know anything about women?

All kidding aside - I have some pretty basic questions: Do I remove the four allen screws and pull the valve assy out of the cylinder, and then pull on the valve to make enough cable slack to get it off the cable, or should I also remove the two allen screws on the cable inlet housing? I didn't want to lose any parts so I usually just do the four, leaving the PV assy intact.

When I clean my PV's on my Viper, I just take out the four screws, pull the valve out of the cylinder and clean them. I don't pull on the cable. If I do, will I be able to take off the PV for a better check?

I do both.....depending on how dirty my valves are determines if I take all of it apart or not!!! But I clean all of the assembly once a year... It is good to do because the spring and o-rings and such need attention from time to time... Hope this helps. Oh.....if you are careful and look at the pic that is in this thread, you will not have any problems with losing parts..:)

what RR said and to help removing pv remove the pv cover turn pully clockwise to give slack in cable, then go back down to pv and remove
the 4 screws and pull assembly out you'll have enough slack you should
be able to slide pv off cable, when done install pv on cable then slid back in cyl turn pulley CCW to snug cable back up then check adjusting spec, that's on the site here too. adjusting power valves.

did i answer you ok?? lol
