Where is the leak at? If the leak is internal you will toast the top end...

Buy the new seals .It would only take you a couple of hours to put them in. I would not chance adding a a sealing product.

the leak is coming from the pump, bad seals. i know this. it is not bad every other tank i have to fill the antifreeze bottle on the sled. i just don't want to have to remove the engine mid winter to fix this. i have order the parts to have on hand if the problem gets worse i guess all i want to know is will i be causeing more damage by just adding fluid or can i make it till the spring? thanks

i would say run it,my buddy ran his leaking last year for over 600 miles before he fixed it,you just don't want it leaking in the cyl or case or running out and over heating...

why would you remove your engine? you can replace the water pump seals with the engine still in the sled.zehrbrox said:the leak is coming from the pump, bad seals. i know this. it is not bad every other tank i have to fill the antifreeze bottle on the sled. i just don't want to have to remove the engine mid winter to fix this. i have order the parts to have on hand if the problem gets worse i guess all i want to know is will i be causeing more damage by just adding fluid or can i make it till the spring? thanks
