SRX triple pipes on v-max

i new someone that did it a while ago if i remember right u have to cut the belly for sure and maybe the hood but thats just what i remember someone else that knows more will chime in
 
It can be done but you have to cut up the pipes to make them fit under the hood. IT"LL be tight. Why cut the other stuff on your sled to make pipes fit. IF you compare the hood and belly pan of the two you'll see the differences.

If you want it to sound like an SRX it will NOT! The stroke of an SRX motor is different(longer) than a Sx motor. Find some used Bender pipes, or Power inc. pipes, or SLP, alot less work and thy're plug and play -minus some jetting and clutching. T
 
I am not trying to make it sound like the SRX, I live in Ontario and it being such and awesome province has banned aftermarkets exhausts on snowmobiles. I was trying to find some form of a loop in the system to put triple pipes on my sled that could increase performance but at the same time would not be considered a change from stock. aww well it was an idea.

It's not bad to run aftermaket pipes, just get some that are quiet. I don't know of any that are. I can't see anyone having a problem with aftermarket exhaust, unless it is louder than stock. Maybe just drill the stock silencer, will help a bit, and no one would ever know that you did it. My .02. :2strokes:
 
put a set of AAens on the sled there nice and quiet and will wake the sled up. great pipes and reliable also
