Well, I must say my Bender piped viper got some pretty good mileage last weekend up in northern Minnesota. We got 473 miles put on in three days. I was averaging 11.6 to just under 12 miles per gallon. It was average to hard riding. I certainly was not getting that last year....not sure why. The only thing I did last summer was clean my power valves. A 2005 800 switchback in the group was getting just a hair better mileage thatn me and he was all stock. Last winter I think I was looking for a gas station around 90 miles into the ride.

I usually get 12-13 on my stock 02 Viper ER on packed trails. Less in powder.
yea but hes running pipes...thats pretty dang good

No doubt !!! I keep my motor stock, too many buddies with meltdowns after mods. Then again that why they call me "gramps" (I'm only 46....). I have added goodies. Heres the sled last season. 2.5" bar riser, 3.5" seat riser, hand and hand gaurds.
