I have a 99 Vmax 500sx and the fuel indicator is constantly stuck at full when running. When I shut it off, it goes back down. What could be the issue? Does it need a new sensor? Is something stuck inside the tank?

could have wire shorted to ground or bad sender or float stuck find the plug for sender in tank when its reading full unplug needle should drop to empty and that tells you problem is from plug to tank
