I was looking at our provincial federation web site and noticed on the trail conditions section about a right of way being taken away in the Moncton NB area. Thanks to a few tools that ignored the snow fencing, rope and signs there's now an incomplete trail,or 2 trails where there should be 1,in that area. The trail used to run through part of a golf course but seeings how the clowns in question couldn't resist the temptation to run all over the fenced off sections. Now needless to say the privileged of using the golf course is no longer there and to make matters worse the same thing happened last year but thanks to a lot of work on the part of the local club president he managed to secure the use again.Unfortunately I don't see the same thing happening again what a waste I empathize with the members there we have had our fair share of problem in my club too.

I saw a situation similar on the Benzie trails near Wellston Michigan. An area where the trail is lined with orange plastic flexible fencing was flattened down. you can see several trails going around the fence post and back onto the main trail. Why??? What was so intreiging to run on the outside of a barrior? I hope property owners realize, not all snowmobilers are inconsiderate, 99% run on designated routes. The very few can ruin alot of good times. Al

We are having the same problem in Ontario, people going off trail running over framers fall wheat, taking fences down so cattle run all over, four wheelers that think they can use the snowmoblie trail system all year round. Every year trails are being re-routed and closed.

yep same here in North Bay

NO way to get off of the south part of callander bay (off lake nipissing)...the connection is maybe 2 KM, and now you have to deyour like 45-50 K

Its sooo frustrating to be a legal, law abiding rider and have your privs removed due to some dick weeds that ruin it for everyone

I guess thats the problem when you only need to be 12 freekin years old to drive sleds...

Should be a immediate 500 dollar fine for off trail stupidy plus no mercy and a tresspassing charge also with maybe another 500 fine ,that will take care of most of the tools. Also any damage ,they payfor.

absolutely agree with you. and have your trail pass taken away. I ride dirt bikes in the summer and some sections I ride are also snowmobile trails in the winter. Every year some idiots on quads think it might be fun to dig trenches down the trail in the mud. Sometimes the damage is so bad that the local club has to pay to get it leveled. Some area farmers leave a 6' path at the edge of their fields for us to hook up between different trails and still some idiots insist on driving through the field. It only takes a few to ruin it for everybody.
