I have searched some, but not found any solid answer if brake cleen is safe for PV cleaning? I used carb cleaner/plastic scrubber pad on two and tried brake cleen on the third. Worked a little better, but found just spraying and letting soak seemed to help the most.
Also, is it important to put the same valve back to the same spot it came out of? (Note: I adjust them each time using the 2.5m allen wrench method)

DON'T USE OVEN CLEANER! buddy did that and it ruined them. that stuff attacks aluminum.....it starts pitting them. best method i found, is a soft scotch pad, on a 90deg air grinder. i can clean up 1 valve to look BRAND NEW in less than 5 min!

I would think throttle body cleaner would be good too. TB's are aluminum anyway.

It is easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
Just like when I used the dishwasher and simple green to clean my Bronco plenum and throttle body. Man was she pissed.
